Promised Land - DVD Plans for Gerald McRaney's Touched by an Angel Spin-Off

Visual Entertainment, Inc. (VEI) is well-known in North America for TV-DVD releases (in both the USA and Canada) of some highly acclaimed television shows, including The Sentinel, Barnaby Jones, Cannon, Grace Under Fire, Hotel, Cagney & Lacey, The Equalizer, Nash Bridges, Hell's Kitchen, Diagnosis Murder, McMillan and Wife, In Search Of..., The Mod Squad, John Byner's Bizarre, (Chef Gordon) Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares, and many more. Now the Toronto-based studio is announcing that they are releasing a new slate of "complete TV collections," and one of the classic television programs to "watch for" will be Promised Land.
This is the 1996 series (a Touched by an Angel spin-off) which ran on CBS for 3 seasons and 68 episodes. It stars Gerald McRaney (Simon & Simon, Major Dad, Touched by an Angel, Deadwood, Jericho, House of Cards, Longmire), Wendy Phillips (Big Love, Touched by an Angel, Homefront, Falcon Crest, A Year in the Life, Executive Suite), and Celeste Holm (Honestly Celeste!, Nancy, Backstairs at the White House, Archie Bunker's Place, Jessie, Falcon Crest, The Beat), among others. There are also recurring appearances by Ossie Davis (Evening Shade, The Stand, B.L. Stryker, The Client, Touched by an Angel, Grumpy Old Men), Richard Thomas (The Waltons, The Americans) and Touched by an Angel stars Roma Downey and Della Reese, among others.
