Mom - We Told You Of 'The Complete 2nd Season' in Canada. Is the USA Different?

Well, this is just weird.

We reported this past Monday - just two days ago - that Warner of Canada had been distributing information to retailers for several weeks about a traditional "in-store" release of Mom - The Complete 2nd Season on DVD. This morning we've re-checked that info with our retailer contact, and were sent a screen capture of the page. It showed the title, the October 13th street date we reported (along with an 08/31/2015 deadline for retailers to place their orders with Warner-Canada in order to have stock for their shelves in time for the street date), the CA$31.98 SRP list price and the revised package art (seen again below) we reported last time, and a UPC code of "883929454532" for the back of the box. But this is all for Canada, and since posting our news article the other day our State-side readers have been asking whether they could count on the same date, cost and box? Our honest answer has been, "we're simply not sure yet, until Warner makes a formal announcement."

As of this writing, the Warner hasn't announced it yet, neither officially nor through their social media presence on sites such as Twitter, Facebook, Instagram or Tumblr. Nor does an odvdo.com pre-release listing that's been around since May (and which continues to show different box cover art than the one below) give any hint of it. But yesterday afternoon, the folks at VideoETA - a website produced by wholesaler/distributor Ingram Entertainment - added a listing that shows an MOD (manufacture on demand) release of Mom - The Complete 2nd Season is scheduled to be available on October 27th. Cost shown is $29.99 SRP, with a DIFFERENT UPC code of "888574336608," per VideoETA. Details and cover art weren't provided there, and we don't know if any of this info - in either country - is finalized just yet. Stay tuned for updates!
