Luther - What's Next For the U.K. Show Starring Idris Elba? We've Got Clues!

After 2013's season finale to Luther - Series 3, fans were left wondering "what next?" After some time had passed, a BBC America article made it clear that the show would return in 2015, with a 2-part special event coming late in the year:
"When asked about the much-anticipated return of the hugely popular show, creator and writer Neil Cross said: 'Ever since we said goodbye to John Luther on Southwark Bridge, there's hardly been a minute when I didn't wonder what happened next. So I decided to find out. We're putting the band back together; Luther is coming back where he belongs. Back to the BBC. Back to London. And back to work.' "
How about those of us who watch it on DVD, though? When will we get to see it? Well, BBC Home Entertainment hasn't announced anything yet to press/media, and so take everything which follows with a grain of salt. But we've discovered an odvdo.com listing for an item labeled as "Luther 4 on DVD , available to pre-order at $24.98 SRP, but with no ship date...odvdo.com merely says, "This title has not yet been released. You may pre-order it now and we will deliver it to you when it arrives."

On the other hand, odvdo.com has an entry for what they list as "Luther: Season 4 on DVD. The Canadian branch is NOT taking pre-orders at this time, and simply says "Currently Unavailable" where the date would normally show at the top. However, if you scroll down to the Product Details section of the listing, it says "Release Date: Dec 15 2015."

Of course, as we said, this isn't formally announced by the studio. The date and cost may not be finalized, and could be subject to change. Nor is there any box art yet, or any other details...no surprise, as this hasn't aired yet! Stay tuned for updates, as further developments occur.
