Mr. Belvedere - Shout!'s 'Season 4' Re-Release Seems to be Sold in Stores This Time!

Mr. Belvedere (Christopher Hewett) is back to clean up another series of sticky situations as the booming, bombastic butler to the Owens family in Mr. Belvedere Season Four.

With George's (Bob Uecker) new gig as a big-shot TV sportscaster, Marsh's (Ilene Graff) new job with a sleaze ball boss, Kevin (Rob Stone) now in college pledging a fraternity, Wesley (Brice Beckham) refusing to bathe, and Heather (Tracy Wells) busting the elderly out of nursing homes - it's no wonder Belvedere turns to gambling in the middle of what is the most uproarious season yet.

There are few '80s sitcoms that have been referenced as often throughout pop culture during the past two decades. Mr. Belvedere dishes out a serious sense of humor with a heartfelt warmth that leaves you yearning for multiple helpings.
In 2009, Shout! Factory released DVD sets into stores containing the first 3 seasons of the 1985 show's 6-season run. Then, in early 2010, the studio made the fourth season available on DVD, but sold it exclusively through their "Shout! Select" online store. Now, more than five years later, Shout! is scheduling a first in-store release of that same item, with Mr. Belvedere - Season 4 coming to participating store shelves on September 8th.

This seems to be the identical 3-DVD release to the previous one, except cost is a bit less this time around (it was $34.98 SRP in 2010, but the new re-release is marked at $29.93 SRP, per official studio info). Now, we'll stipulate here that the studio hasn't actually told us that this is a "wide" general release this time, but we're jumping to that conclusion because the title is listed not only at the Shout store and Amazon.com (who is NOT taking pre-orders just yet), but also other online retail sites including DVD Empire.

If you missed picking this up last time, you've got a second chance to continue your collection of this family-favorite sitcom. Here's the package art, which is also apparently unchanged from the online-exclusive release five years ago:
