Another day, another dollar for . TBS has renwed its new bro-centric summer sitcom a mere five segments in, after a very strong premiere and a major uptick during last week's show. Men premiered to 2.65 million total viewers and a 1,cheap dvds and cds.3 in the demo; it's sagged since then, but last week's show jumped to 2.11 million total, with a 1.0 in the demo (up over a .9 the week prior).

All in all, for the show, which is produced by Turner favorite son Breckin Meyer (currently bringing in plenty of high ratings on TBS' sister network, TNT, where his Franklin & Bash airs). TBS has given it a sweet spot in its Thursday night lineup, right after two episodes of off-net success story The Big Bang Theory. The new series retained 72 percent of its opening act. The always-popular CBS sitcom drew 2.92 million total viewers. Clearly, Turner is hoping that after another season or so, Men will be able to stand on its own without the help of the its million-dollar-an-episode syndicated lead-in.Men runs until July 12.

That's the plan at both TBS and TNT,tv shows for today, anyway; the network is boosting its original slate at TNT with off-net content, as well, leading into shows like its risky new Dallas reboot with multiple episodes of tried-and-true broadcast favorites.Dallas gets a healthy does of Law & Order before it goes on; so far it's earned 6.9 million viewers with a 1.5 in the demo in its premiere and 4.76 million with a 1.3 for week two. The syndicated material is expensive, but if it can help Turner establish a slate of hits, it will have been worth the money.

James Lesure

Named one of the next generation's leading men by GQ magazine and one of the hottest bachelors on television, James Lesure consistently delivers inspiring performances. Before starring in TBS'scomedyhit Men at Work, Lesure made viewers sit up and take notice with his performance as surveillance expert Mike Cannon on the hit series Las Vegas, opposite Josh Duhamel.

Lesure made his series debut on the comedy For Your Love, co-starring actress Holly Robinson-Peete. He has also appeared in recurring roles on the series The New Adventures of Old Christine,blu ray dvd prices, Lipstick Jungle, The Division and Alias. His other television credits include guest-starring roles on Lost, Sherri and Seinfeld. He also gave a memorable performance as a resolute military officer on the acclaimed series Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip.

On the big screen, Lesure has appeared in various independent films, as well as such high-profile features as The Ring 2, starring Naomi Watts,new movie video releases; Our Family Wedding, alongside America Ferrera; and Crimson Tide, starring Denzel Washington and Gene Hackman.

Born and raised in Los Angeles, Lesure served in the Air Force Academy before attending the University of Southern California, where he received his bachelor's degree in theater. During his time at USC, he also studied abroad at the University of Kent in Canterbury, England. While there, he performed in the productions Hair and The Island. In addition, he was able to fulfill a life long dream – becoming an amateur boxer. A natural in front of the camera and on stage, Lesure has also worked in a professional theater company in Los Angeles, where he played the role of Macduff in William Shakespeare's Macbeth.

Lesure earned a 2006 MIB Prism Award for Outstanding Male Actor in a TV Drama for his work in Las Vegas. A sports enthusiast, he has twice been named MVP of the Basketball EntertainmentLeague. Noted for his charity work, Lesure is the recipient of the Celebrity Honoree and Distinguished Support Awards from the Sickle Cell Disease Foundation. He currently resides in Los Angeles.
