Viper - Are You Sitting Down for This News? DVDs Finally Being Planned for the 90s Series!

Visual Entertainment, Inc. (VEI) is well-known in North America for TV-DVD releases (in both the USA and Canada) of some highly acclaimed television shows, including The Sentinel, Barnaby Jones, Cannon, Grace Under Fire, Hotel, Cagney & Lacey, The Equalizer, Nash Bridges, Hell's Kitchen, Diagnosis Murder, McMillan and Wife, In Search Of..., The Mod Squad, John Byner's Bizarre, (Chef Gordon) Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares, and many more. Now the Toronto-based studio is announcing that they are releasing a new slate of "complete TV collections," and one of the classic television programs to "watch for" will be Viper.
In 1994, the show first aired for 12 episodes on NBC. It was cancelled, but then in 1996 the program returned in first-run syndication, for an additional 3 seasons with 66 more episodes between them (overall, 78 episodes in 4 seasons). We're uncertain if VEI's release will be all the episodes, or only the NBC ones, or only the syndicated ones. There's a small indication that it MIGHT only be from the 1996 "season" onward, but that's uncertain for now. We certainly hope it's the entire thing, though...our readers who are fans of this program have waited a long time for it to arrive on DVD!

NOTE that specific release dates have NOT BEEN SET so far...nor do we have details or package art at this time, either; just the heads-up to expect this release in the future.
