Longstreet - The Short-Lived Classic from 1971 NBC is Coming to DVD from VEI

Visual Entertainment, Inc. (VEI) is well-known in North America for TV-DVD releases (in both the USA and Canada) of some highly acclaimed television shows, including The Sentinel, Barnaby Jones, Cannon, Grace Under Fire, Hotel, Cagney & Lacey, The Equalizer, Nash Bridges, Hell's Kitchen, Diagnosis Murder, McMillan and Wife, In Search Of..., The Mod Squad, John Byner's Bizarre, (Chef Gordon) Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares, and many more. Now the Toronto-based studio is announcing that they are releasing a new slate of "complete TV collections," and one of the classic television programs to "watch for" will be Longstreet.

This is the 1971 series which ran on ABC for a single season, starring James Franciscus (The Naked City, Mr. Novak) in the title role of Mike Longstreet, an insurance investigator who lost his sight, and his wife, in an explosion. It had a pilot telefilm and 23 regular episodes during its sole broadcast season. Marlyn Mason (Dr. Kildare, Ben Casey) co-starred as "Nikki Bell," and the legendary Bruce Lee guest starred in 4 episodes as martial arts expert "Li Tsung."
