Outlander - Not Announced by Sony Yet, But Multiple Online Sources Show 'Season 1: Ultimate Collection' with New Release Date & Details

We've previously reported that the Outlander - Season 1: The Ultimate Collection set is in-the-works for Blu-ray Disc, mentioning at the time that www.odvdo.com of Canada had posted a pre-order listing that showed an early November release date for the item. We removed that report, after Sony Pictures Home Entertainment kindly informed us that the title was unannounced, and that the date was incorrect. Sony also worked with www.odvdo.com to have the incorrect pre-order entry removed, and it hasn't been returned to the up-north branch of the big e-tailer as of this writing.
Sony still hasn't officially announced this title so far, and we're still waiting on a press release from their wonderful PR team. However, VideoETA - a site produced by home video distributor/wholesaler Ingram Entertainment - currently shows the Outlander - Season 1: The Ultimate Collection Blu-ray Disc on their schedule with a USA release date of December 1st, and a price of $155.99 SRP. www.odvdo.com (the U.S. branch) isn't accepting pre-orders right now, since the item isn't announced by Sony, but an entry we located identifies the title as a "Blu-ray + UltraViolet + Limited Edition Keepsake Box and Flask"...a very nice collectible for fans of the show!
As we said, neither www.odvdo.com nor is currently pre-selling this title. However, other online retailers are listing the item, showing the same first-of-December date that VideoETA displays, the same list price, and the same configuration for this 5-disc set. Again, note that the studio has NOT officially announced the title yet, so the information is not finalized and could be subject to change. Nor is there package art available yet, either. Stay tuned for updates, as further developments occur!
