King of the Hill - The 13th & Final Season is Scheduled for DVD...AND for Blu-ray!

A hilarious slice of middle-class life in small-town America, "King of the Hill" has become one of the most beloved and long-running prime-time animated series in television history. Outrageously funny but remarkably truthful, the series follows the exploits of propane salesman Hank Hill (Mike Judge) as he reigns over a family of underachievers, a group of beer-guzzling friends, and the everyday challenges of life in Arlen, Texas. Comprised of all 24 episodes from the thirteenth and final season, this three-disc collection features guest appearances by Andy Richter, Jake Steinfeld, Jerry Lambert, Paget Brewster, Diedrich Bade, Colin Mochrie, and Chris Elliott.
A month ago we reported the late-September DVD release of the show's twelfth season, the next-to-last in the animated sitcom's run. Now the folks at Olive Films are announcing a quick follow-up to that, when they release King of the Hill - Complete 13th Season on October 20th!
Unlike all the previous seasons, this final one will be available on both standard DVD and high-def Blu-ray Disc. In either format, the price is $34.95 SRP, and you can pre-order it from www.goodtvshowdvd.com at a discount right away, using the button link seen below. Package art is directly underneath. The studio info shows that for Episodes 1-7 of this season, they'll preserve the original aspect ratio these were broadcast in with 1.33:1 visual format. For episodes 8-24, which were originally shot in widescreen high definition (and the only ones in the entire run of the show to be shot that way), the installments will appear on both home video disc formats in the original aspect ration of 1.78:1 widescreen. Nice!
Our thanks to the MANY readers who emailed us over the weekend to let us know about this title. Here's the package art for both formats, and the odvdo.com pre-order button link:
