Charlie Brown/Peanuts Specials - We DON'T Cover DVDs Of Theatrical Films. Except When We Do, Part 2

BON VOYAGE, CHARLIE BROWN (AND DON'T COME BACK!) takes the Peanuts gang on their first international jaunt. Charlie Brown, Linus, Peppermint Patty and Marcie are chosen as - you guessed it! - exchange students, destined to spend two weeks in Le 'Heron, France.
Of course, Snoopy and Woodstock join the French odyssey, which turns out to be a combination of mystery, intrigue and romance coupled with the usual complexities that seem to beset Charlie Brown wherever he goes.
Join Charlie Brown and the rest of the delightful "Peanuts" gang as they journey to France as exchange students. In the late Charles M. Schulz's fourth full-length animated motion picture. Filled with all the characters and charm that has made "Peanuts" the most popular and beloved comic strip in the world.
Last November we bent our rules and posted news about a theatrical film's first-ever release on DVD, this past February's debut of the 1977 movie Race for Your Life, Charlie Brown. We noted at the time that the only other missing-on-DVD classically animated theatrical film from the franchise, 1980's Bon Voyage, Charlie Brown (and Don't Come Back!!), hadn't at the time been announced at the time...but that we'd try to get word out whenever it was finally scheduled. The following day we posted an update with cover art for Race, and noted that the studio WAS INDEED planning a DVD for Bon Voyage, planned for October 2015.
Today, Paramount Home Media Distribution formally announced that on October 6th they will release Bon Voyage, Charlie Brown (and Don't Come Back!!) on DVD. The single-disc title has been digitally remastered for this first-ever DVD appearance, just in time for the production's 35th anniversary. It's timed to tie in with the November debut of the new 3D/CGI theatrical Peanuts film from Fox/Blue Sky, and it will complete your collection of all 4 of the previous theatrical films from the franchise.
