Batman - The Caped Crusader Knocks Out the Competition at the 2015 Home Media Magazine Awards!

Early in March we reported that voting was under for the 2015 Home Media Magazine Awards, the industry's best-known awards given to DVD and Blu-ray Disc titles. HMM has now delivered the list of winners, and if you are interested in the film and direct-to-video ("DTV") categories, click there to see who won in those. For television, we've got the list below...and as you can see, Batman was the big winner with 5 of the highest honors!

Another long-awaited, highly-anticipated BIG-NAME set that came out on DVD last year, The Wonder Years: The Complete Series Experience from Time Life, took the category of "Best Gift Set." Meanwhile, HBO's Game of Thrones: The Complete Third Season took 3 awards, and Shout! Factory's Pee-wee's Playhouse Complete Series on Blu-ray Disc took 2 more awards.

And, although it sold poorly due to the high cost of the set to pay for the restoration of a 60- year-old show, the Blu-ray release for I Love Lucy: Ultimate Season 1 from CBS/Paramount won a special Judge's Award, the only TV show to do so (five other Judge's Awards were given to non-TV titles). Finally, we'll note that the artwork win for Arrested Development - Season 4 (see image below) is especially laudable, considering that it was fan-submitted in a contest!
