Tatau (mini-series) - The 8-Part BBC America Mini-Series is Announced for DVD, Blu-ray

Kyle (Joe Layton) and Budgie (Theo Barklem-Biggs), two twenty-something friends from London are about to set off on the journey of a lifetime. Before they leave, Kyle gets a Maori-style tattoo to celebrate their eventual destination: the Cook Islands. When snorkeling in a lagoon, Kyle finds the dead body of a local girl tied up underwater with the very same tattoo. Yet, when he returns to the lagoon with the police, her corpse has disappeared.
But Kyle knows what he saw. Desperate to uncover the mystery of the dead girl, Kyle and Budgie find themselves sucked deeper and deeper into a world of Maori myths, symbols, and hallucinatory visions...until finally the full meaning of Kyle's tattoo is revealed.
This past Saturday, the BBC America cable channel began airing the mini-series Tatau, and now BBC Home Entertainment has scheduled a June 9th release date for the title on DVD (3 discs, $29.98 SRP) and high-def Blu-ray Disc (2 discs, $34.98 SRP). Bonus material will be on board, but the BBC hasn't provided a list of those extras, nor cover art as of yet. Stay tuned for updates!
