The Carol Burnett Show - An Update From Carol on When We'll See DVDs for the First 5 Seasons

Last November we had the happy news from Carol herself that Starvista/Time-Life was working on a DVD release for the first 5 seasons of The Carol Burnett Show, with plans to put it out in the spring of this year. Since we're currently in Spring 2015, and the discs haven't been released yet, it's time for an update. A week ago a Q&A with Ms. Burnett, published in the Lower Hudson ("LoHud") Valley Journal News, told us we'll still see that "later this year," in the Fall 2015 timeframe:
The earliest "Carol Burnett Show" episodes haven't been seen since they first aired, but later this year, Starvista/Time-Life will release the first five years of the Burnett show.

"It's really going to be a throwback, because only the last six years were in syndication. But come the fall, people will be able to see them all."
Time Life hasn't formally given an update on this matter, but other interviews that Carol's conducted indicate that she and the cast recently recorded "commentaries and extras materials" for these upcoming DVDs.
