Schitt's Creek - Got a Paddle? How About a DVD? Release Date for 'Season 1'

And most of those people came on purpose! With 4,500 mostly unpopulated acres to explore, Schitt's Creek is great for families, too. So if you're looking for a change of pace, and especially if the pace you're looking for is "slow," then hurry on down to Schitt's Creek-a small but happy town where everyone fits in.

When outrageously wealthy video store magnate Johnny Rose (Eugene Levy), his soap-star wife Moira (Catherine O'Hara) and their two twenty-something children - hipster gallerist David (Dan Levy) and career socialite Alexis (Annie Murphy) - suddenly find themselves broke, they have no choice but to move to a small backwoods town Johnny once bought as a joke. With their pampered lives a memory, they must face their humiliating hardship and figure out what it means to be a family, all within the unfamiliar environs of Schitt's Creek, their new home.
After debuting on Canada's CBC Television this past January, the Pop cable network (formerly the TV Guide Network) brought the show to the USA last month, in March. And now, with a second season ordered, the 13 episodes from Schitt's Creek - Season 1 is coming to DVD on June 9th. At least in Canada, since our info came from retail sources north-of-the-border, who tell us they received word from Entertainment One this morning. Pricing, package art, and other details weren't immediately available, and currently this title has been announced for DVD only; no Blu-ray version is indicated.. But we'll update you more about this title starring Eugene Levy, Dan Levy, Catherine O'Hara, Annie Murphy, and Chris Elliott as "Mayor Roland Schitt" just as soon as more info comes across our desks...stay tuned!
