Three seasons. Three Bat-heroes (Batman, Robin, and Batgirl). And now, for the third day in a row, we've got Bat-news for you! Monday we brought you Warner's most detailed press release yet about the DVD and Blu-ray releases coming out next Tuesday, November 11th...both The Complete Television Series and also The Complete 1st Season will be in stores that day. Then, yesterday, we passed along word from Wired magazine about all the ins-and-outs needed to clear all the legal obstacles out of the way, and finally get the classic live-action series to home video at all. Nice!

Batman - The 2nd Season, Part 1So what do we have for you today? Well, it's the "what's next?" for folks who are planning to collect Batman DVDs in season sets, rather than getting the whole thing at once. While Warner Home Video hasn't formally announced anything to the press so far, the folks at Amazon.com have added a pre-order listing for Batman - The 2nd Season, Part 1 on DVD. This 4-disc set containing the first 30 episodes of the show's middle season will be available February 17th, and cost $39.98 SRP. But you can lock in your copy at a discount by ordering today from Amazon using the link provided above. It will contain such villains as Catwoman, King Tut, Ma Parker, The Clock King, Vincent Price's infamous Egghead, The Penguin, Mr. Freeze, The Joker (of course!), and Shame. Note that there are NO plans revealed by Warner Home Video so far for individual season sets of Batman on Blu-ray Disc; just for DVD. If you want the high-def Blu-ray Disc version, you have to buy The Complete Television Series set. That might change down the road, but if you want the show that way then you have to go to Warner's social media pages and let them know. We'll bring you news if something happens along those lines.
