"How I Met Your Mother" ends its nine season-run on March 31, and fans will have to say goodbye to Ted, Lily,cheap dvd online store, Barney,Dexter Season 8 DVD Box Set, Robin and Marshall. But they'll also have to bid adieu to the show's memorable running gags, recurring catchphrases and long cons.

Show creators Carter Bays and Craig Thomas cultivated dozens of running jokes that have now become ingrained in pop culture.
