Clearly the writers of the Lottery have no medical consultant on this show about medical stuff. The Black Death was caused by a bacteria (Yersinia pestis) that causes the disease, plague.

Bacteria are not viruses, and this entire show is starting to sound just as unbelievable. It is starting to look like a Twilight Saga for middle aged women. As someone else said, it is becoming an overproduced soap opera in prime time.

Bring back Helix. It is more believable. Even The Strain is better written, and with great parasites. Too many specialty channels that don't make any sense - Lifetime being one of them. If I want some reality in my "Disease and Disaster" shows, I will continue to watch The Last Ship ... I will man up with Rhona Mitra any day.
