Summary of Nikita Season 1-3 DVD Box Set
season 1
Nikita (Maggie Q) is a former assassin and agent working for Division, a secret U.S. agency, until 2007, where she went underground after they double crossed her by killing Daniel Monroe, a man she fell in love with. Three years later she resurfaces with the intent on thwarting Division's operation one assignment at a time. Meanwhile, Alex (Lyndsy Fonseca) is arrested for armed robbery; Division fakes her death and is forced to start her training to become an assassin, which is how they recruit agents. Meanwhile, working with a source within Division, Nikita hears about "Black Arrow", an operation to assassinate an African diplomat; Nikita saves the diplomat and drops him off at the United Nations, and later confronts her former boss, Percy (Xander Berkeley) to declare war on Division. Agent Michael (Shane West) chases after her, but she wounds him and escapes. While Percy assigns Division to find Nikita, Alex is revealed to be her source in stopping Division.
Division is tasked with protecting Serbian leader Mirko Dadich, who was exiled from his country for war crimes, in exchange for uranium in Dadich's possession. Alex is activated early to entertain the leader during his stay in America. As Nikita attempts to take out Dadich, he is kidnapped by a group of mercenaries headed by the daughter of the lead scientist responsible for Dadich's nuclear program. Both Nikita and Division discover their location in a New York Subway station in order to get the GPS device to locate the uranium. During the firefight between Division and the mercenaries, Nikita steals the GPS device and destroys it. No longer useful, Michael kills Dadich. A flashback from a year previously reveals Nikita meeting Alex after saving her life from drug dealers, and then helps her through detox before training her. She also reveals that she has been searching for Alex for over 2 years, and knows who she really is.
Division agents frame tabloid journalist Jill Morelli (Julie Gonzalo) of murdering her boss when she attempts to expose a plane crash that was organized by Division. Nikita later rescues Jill, and together, they agree to expose the story. They get into contact with the source, who shows them a video showing Division agents at the site of the crash and covering up the evidence and obtaining cocaine the corrupt CEO smuggled to keep his airline in business. Michael, having found them with the help of Alex and fellow recruits Jaden (Tiffany Hines) and Thom (Ashton Holmes), leads a team to their location and kill the source. Alex secretly alerts local police to the area, who arrest Jill while Nikita takes down the Division agents. Jill is able to expose the story and clear her name. Meanwhile, Michael and Percy suspect Birkhoff (Aaron Stanford) is leaking information to Nikita from inside Division (not knowing it is actually Alex). After he is interrogated by Amanda (Melinda Clarke), they discover a tracker on one of his teeth. In the end, Nikita asks Alex to find another way to cover her tracks.
Nikita revisits her first assignment with Division: assassinating a Homeland Security official. She uncovers a fashion store that is hiring a triad gang to employ slave labour. Nikita storms a sweatshop, destroys it, and after following the gang leader, realizes that the man organizing it is the same official she thought she had killed; he faked his death after approaching Percy for help in not exposing his true nature. She travels to Hong Kong, catches the man, and drops him off outside a police station. Meanwhile, Alex begins suffering from claustrophobia from a traumatic childhood experience and Amanda is determined to cure her.
season 2
Nikita (Maggie Q) and Michael (Shane West) plot to take down Division and Oversight and are prepared to use the information in the black boxes to do so. Alex (Lyndsy Fonseca) agrees to work with Division to find the people responsible for killing her family. Amanda (Melinda Clarke) is now running Division and Oversight has a new agent named Sean Pierce (Dillon Casey), to keep an eye on her.
Nikita and Michael run into Owen (Devon Sawa). He tells them he is searching for Dr. Joseph Mars (John Ralston), the mastermind behind P9, a old corrupt Division program and is also the creator of the Regimen. Michael is reluctant to trust Owen again, but Nikita decides the three should join forces. Percy (Xander Berkeley) who is now imprisoned under Division headquarters demands to speak to Alex. It is later revealed that Owen is working with Ari Tasarov (Peter Outerbridge) and Gogol in order to bring down Division.
A black box file reveals that an international terrorist named Ramon (Simon Kassianides), who has been taking credit for some political assassinations, now works for Division. Nikita was the agent that captured Ramon years ago and turned him over to Percy. Amanda convinces Alex to kill Anton Kochenko (Paul Braunstein), a man who used to work for Alex's father and is responsible for letting Division murder her family.
Nikita's old Division partner Kelly (Katheryn Winnick) has escaped from a Turkish prison. Nikita thought Kelly died years ago and feels responsible for her imprisonment, because it happened on the very mission that Nikita escaped from Division. Nikita tells Michael they have to go to Turkey to help her, knowing Amanda will go after her first. Alex and Roan (Rob Stewart) team up and go to Europe and try to stop Nikita and Kelly from reuniting. Kelly doesn't seem so innocent and Alex shows good faith and lets Michael and Nikita go after they fight.
